ABOUT LAGREE
What is the Lagree Method and how is it different from Pilates?
Lagree is a full-body workout that combines strength, endurance, and balance in just 45 minutes. While Pilates and Lagree share a foundation of controlled movement, they are not the same.
Pilates was originally created as an individual practice, while Lagree was developed specifically for small group training. The Megaformer allows everyone to move safely and effectively together, with personalized guidance from a trainer.
Another important difference is the pace of the movements. In Pilates, exercises are often performed faster, with pauses between them. In Lagree, each movement is performed slowly and under constant tension, with no breaks between exercises. This keeps your heart rate elevated and places the class in the cardiovascular training zone, providing strength, endurance, and cardio benefits in a single session.
Lagree was also built on progressive overload, meaning you can continually challenge your body without plateauing. Unlike other training methods, where results can stagnate, Lagree evolves with you, keeping workouts effective at any level.
Why do my muscles shake during class?
Trembling is a good sign in Lagree. It means your muscles are reaching deep fatigue—that's when real change happens. Trembling is part of the process of gaining strength, endurance, and stability.
Why do Lagree classes focus on slow movements and last only 45 minutes?
Lagree relies on slow, controlled movements that maintain constant tension on the muscles. This maximizes results, reduces the risk of injury, and makes every second of the class count. Because there are no pauses between exercises, your heart rate stays elevated in the cardio training zone. This efficiency means that in just 45 minutes, you achieve more than a traditional one-hour workout.
How often should I take classes to see results?
Most clients see results after just a few sessions. For best results, we recommend 2–3 classes per week, depending on your goals and schedule.
FIRST TIME AT FORMA?
Do I need experience to participate in a class?
No experience is necessary. Our trainers will guide you step by step and ensure you feel comfortable from your first session. However, Lagree is unlike anything you've ever experienced, and it may take a few classes to feel familiar and confident with the method. That's why we recommend starting with a series of classes rather than just one—it gives your body time to adapt and allows you to feel the full benefits of the workout.
What should I bring to class?
Non-slip socks are required for safety and hygiene reasons. If you don't have them, we have them available for purchase at the studio. You can also bring a towel and a water bottle (we do have a water machine on-site, but you need to have your own bottle with you)
What should I wear to class?
It's mandatory to wear form-fitting athletic clothing (leggings, tops, sports bras). This ensures safe movement and allows our trainers to correct your posture.
Will someone explain how the machine works before my first class?
Yes. We ask that you arrive 20 minutes before your first class so your trainer can explain the Megaformer to you and ensure you feel confident before you begin.
Do you have classes suitable for beginners?
Yes. All classes are adaptable. Trainers provide modifications when needed, making every class accessible to beginners. Beginners should always take the options that the trainer will offer for more support or less intensity. For beginners, it often takes several classes to understand the movements and to feel more comfortable, so please keep that in mind. This is why just taking one class to try the method is not advisable.
How many people are in each class?
We keep classes small, with a maximum of 8 clients. This ensures personalized attention and a supportive environment.
Do you offer private training?
Yes. We offer individual sessions for clients who prefer a fully personalized experience.

HEALTH & SAFETY
Can I register if I have an injury or physical limitation?
Yes, as long as your doctor authorizes it. You must bring a medical certificate confirming that you can participate in high-intensity resistance training, Pilates, or cardio-based workouts. Please also inform us of any injuries in advance so we can assess whether it is safe for you to participate and adapt the exercises accordingly.
Is Lagree safe for joint and back problems?
Most of the time, yes. Lagree is low-impact and designed to protect joints while delivering high-intensity results. Many clients find it gentler on the body than other types of exercise. If you have specific concerns about your body or health, consult your doctor before starting Lagree classes.
Can I attend classes during pregnancy?
If you are pregnant or become pregnant during your membership, please inform the studio manager. To participate, you will need to present a medical certificate from your doctor confirming that you can perform workouts such as high-intensity resistance, Pilates, and cardio activities. With this authorization, our instructors can provide specific adaptations to keep your workout safe. Please arrive early to each class to discuss adjustments with your instructor before the session begins.
Will the instructor make corrections with physical contact during the class?
Yes. Our instructors may use light touches to adjust your alignment and posture during class. This ensures you perform the movements safely and get the most out of each exercise. If you prefer not to be touched, simply let your instructor know before class, and we'll respect your preference.
Do you have a shower?
No, we do not have shower facilities, as we are not a gym, but only a boutique fitness studio.
Do you offer child care?
No, there is no child care available at the studio, and children are not allowed to be left unattended in our studio, reception, or waiting areas while their parent takes a class.
